Custom Field query for tickets

Hi friends,

I am trying to create a custom field for tickets to show "ticket creator". I am wanting it to show a list of users which is populated from an ldap label (it will essentially be the same list of users that is populated in the "owner" field. It would also be ideal if it would auto populate with the username of the analyst who is creating the ticket (if thats possible).

Any help with this is massively appreciated.

Surely you can create a custom field that uses a query and with SQL to show all ticket owners for the queue? Or am I missing what you need?

  • we already have a report that shows ticket owners in a given time period, but our managers are wanting a report to show tickets opened by service desk analysts which doesnt report correctly (it only shows who is the current owner NOT creator of the ticket, i have created the custom field in the tickets and named it "ticket creator" but i am wanting it to populate a list of just service desk analysts (which we have already in the tickets through "owner" but i cant figure out how to reflect that for the new custom field). If i select "users" for the field it shows all users in the enterprise. - wrightbaj 2 years ago
