KACE Product Support Question

Custom Ticket rule when status changes.

08/19/2015 2252 views
Hello,

We just put our K1000 service desk into full production and while there haven't been any issues, I would like to know if it's possible to create a custom ticket rule to notify the user of any status change without using the built in email rule.  Right now I have a rule that sends the user a notification when they create a ticket and another when it's closed, but nothing if I change the status to open-work in progress.  My SQL code for new ticket notification is:

select HD_TICKET.*,
                        HD_STATUS.NAME AS STATUS_NAME,
                        HD_STATUS.ORDINAL as STATUS_ORDINAL,
                        HD_IMPACT.ORDINAL as IMPACT_ORDINAL,
                        HD_CATEGORY.ORDINAL as CATEGORY_ORDINAL,
                        HD_PRIORITY.ORDINAL as PRIORITY_NUMBER,
      HD_TICKET.ID, -- $id
      HD_TICKET.ID AS TICKNUM, -- $ticknum
      HD_TICKET.TITLE, -- $title
      HD_TICKET.SUMMARY, -- $summary
      HD_CATEGORY.NAME as CATEGORY,
      HD_PRIORITY.NAME as PRIORITY,
      HD_STATUS.NAME as STATUS,
HD_TICKET.CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUE2 as BUILDING,
HD_TICKET.CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUE3 as ROOM,
HD_TICKET.DUE_DATE as DUEDATE,
HD_TICKET.RESOLUTION as RESOLUTION,
                        STATE,
                        if(M1.ID is null, 'z', concat('a', M1.NAME)) as sort_MACHINE_NAME,
                        if((datediff(DUE_DATE, now()) = 0), 2, if((datediff(DUE_DATE, now())<0), 1, 3)) as SORT_OVERDUE_STATUS,
                        if(unix_timestamp(TIME_OPENED) > 0, TIME_OPENED, 1<<62) as SORT_TIME_OPENED,
                        if(unix_timestamp(TIME_STALLED) > 0, TIME_STALLED, 1<<62) as SORT_TIME_STALLED,
                        if(unix_timestamp(TIME_CLOSED) > 0, TIME_CLOSED, 1<<62) as SORT_TIME_CLOSED,

You should be able to accomplish this using the wizard. Have you tried creating a rule?
