Detecting KACE Agent newly installed and pushing patches to that computer.

Good afternoon ninjas!

I hope you all are doing well as we head closer to the holidays!

I have a question about patching new computers.

At UserKon 2021, during one of the sessions, I thought I had heard someone mention there might be a way to detect if the KACE agent had recently been installed on computer, and to trigger a script or patch management to install all of the updates the machine might need.

I know its a long shot, but anyone know of any documentation that might be available to try and accomplish this?

Thank you!

Just create a smart label based on the installation time stamp of the agent, say if installed within the last hour or whatever you want.

Then set up an aggressive patch schedule to detect and deploy all patches and set the reboot options to force reboot. Make the smart label you created the target for the schedule and you are done.
