Downloading Windows Updates Manually

Guys , do you know how I can download Windows Updates manually. I dont want to use the windowsupdate link within IE. I want to be able to click on "KBxxxxxxxx" and save it to my network.

Have you tried searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base for the KBxxxxx number?

The article you find will detail what the fix does, and provides an individual download link.

I run Windows Update, and then manually download the individual patches from download.microsoft.com.
If you use "Custom Installation" instead of "Express", you can open the attached description, copy the KB number and search on that.
There are around 40-ish patches (post SP3) though, so it takes a while (I did it last week, took forever)...

Official MS Update Catalog for Admins (for the occasional patch with multiple parts like .net 3.5sp1 or OWC)

run mbsa on a list of machines...
mbsacli.exe" /listfile "c:\machines.txt" /n OS+SQL+IIS+Password
