error 1918 error installing odbc driver mysql odbc 5.3 driver

PLEASE HELP I NEED TO INSTALL MySQL Connector ODBC 5.3 please respond I'm desperate led from 4am trying to fix the problem.

  • sounds like you have the wrong bit version for the installer. If this is a 64 bit machine and drivers are 32bit you must use the utilites in c:\windows\syswow64 vs system32 to install. - SMal.tmcc 9 years ago
