Windows 7, VDI, and application virtualization. What are the hurdles adopting these technologies? Enterprise IT teams face a monumental challenge in shifting from their legacy computing environments to the latest technologies needed to stay competitive and reduce IT cost and complexity. These key initiatives and the shift to new platforms and 64-bit computing, are high on IT Executives priority lists. However, even with executive level buy-in these projects often encounter execution challenges for two primary reasons - applications and users - which add complexity through;
• Application compatibility challenges when moving from legacy environments to new desktop and application delivery methods.
• Inability to balance the IT business goals of infrastructure standardization and cost optimization with end-user demands for flexibility and personalization.
Join company representatives from industry leaders Microsoft, AppSense and App-DNA at the Microsoft Dallas (Las Colinas) facility. Lunch is provided for the session showcasing AppSense and App-DNA technology solutions with some words from Microsoft on their Optimized Desktop vision and application virtualization.
Wednesday, August 3rd at 11am until 1:30pm.
Please Register as space is limited. - http://www.clicktoattend.com/invitation.aspx?code=156113

Achieving the Optimal Application Delivery Strategy
The collective capabilities of AppSense and App-DNA provide enterprise IT teams with the tools to proactively address these potential obstacles and accelerate desktop transformation plans.
Windows 7 Migration
Windows 7 migration projects can be simplified and accelerated by addressing potential application compatibility issues upfront, reducing OS provisioning time, and avoiding lost end-user productivity.
App-DNA identifies any application compatibility issues and possible remediation options. Once the desired Windows 7 desktop and application delivery approaches are identified, AppSense makes the transition seamless. Application and OS-level user personalization is automatically applied as the user moves across operating systems and between physical and virtual desktop deployment methods.
Adopting Application Virtualization
Adoption of application virtualization and server-hosted applications is greatly simplified by identifying and remediating potential application compatibility issues and allowing easy roaming across application delivery approaches. App-DNA identifies which deployment methods are most suitable for specific applications and also highlights any applications that are incompatible with one another. AppSense provides a consistent, personalized user experience across all application delivery methods and greatly simplifies moving between methods.
Reducing Administrative Privileges
The transition from Windows XP to Windows 7 is an ideal time for IT teams to regain control over user administrative rights. App-DNA highlights the applications that require administrative rights to run. These insights can then be used by IT teams to create AppSense User Rights Management policies that balance tighter control with selective rights elevation when needed.
