Fixing Component Table in MSI

Greetings to all,

during designing the MSI for the companies Product one row in the Component table got added without a Component Value/lost its Component Value. Now i can't drop or fix the line with any editor I have at my disposal (Flexera InstallShield as design Tool, Orca and SuperOrca for good measure). Trying to build the MSI results in an Error Message telling me that the Components Table could not be build. Orca shows the line (And the line in FeatureComponents and the line in ISComponentExtended) as dropped, but upon saving and reopening the lines are still there. Has anyone of you encountered this error and found a solution or workaround so that i do not lose my previous work?

sincerely,

Gordon

Just noticed, that Super Orca can export, Import and Drop tables. And the Export can be edited by any texteditor. I was able to delete the previously undroppable row that way.

you could make a .mst for your .msi that would do that specific thing you need.
