Formatting larger than 2TB
There is a built-in pre-installation task in the K2000 for formatting the drive as a single partition. The problem I'm running into is that it will only format it up to 2TB even if the drive capacity is higher. And to make matters worse, after the fact when you get into Windows it sees the additional space but won't let you Expand into it OR format it as a D: partition.
Is there a script that can be used for pre-installation that will format the entire drive?

You need to use a GUID partition table rather than an MFT partition table in order to be able to create a single partition greater than 2Tb.

There doesn't appear to be a way to do that as a pre-install task. Upon further reading it seems that you can't make the boot drive larger than 2TB in Windows 7 in any event - a data drive can be larger, but not System. The only other thing I found in my searching was that you could potentially do something using UEFI but I couldn't make that work. - CJBelcaro 9 years ago
