HA VM monitoring by Folder or Resource Pool

I have a vSphere cluster with hundreds of VMs.  High Availabilty is enabled, but I only want a small number of essential VMs to restart on another host in the event of a host failure, not hundreds, I've set VM Monitoring to Disabled at the cluster level.

There is a way to override this setting per VM; I can set individual VMs to restart.  But this is cumbersome to set and maintain.  It would be more convienant to assign a Folder, or a Resource Pool to a particular VM Monitoring setting.  Is this possible?
