Having trouble pushing a registry key with the K1000 Scripting Configuration Policy Registery editor

Trying to enter this in the Scripting > Configuration Policies > Windows Registry

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\General]
"SharedTemplates"=hex(2):54,00,3a,00,5c,00,47,00,75,00,6e,00,64,00,65,00,72,00,\
  73,00,6f,00,6e,00,20,00,54,00,65,00,6d,00,70,00,6c,00,61,00,74,00,65,00,73,\
  00,5c,00,00,00

But instead of getting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\General and have a SharedTemplates string created with T:\Gunderson Templates\ in the registry, I get jibbersh.

Any idea why the K1000 is not able to push this key?

  • I haven't used this wizard for registry editing, have only used the Scripting module which has always worked for me. - JasonEgg 6 years ago
