Hi I am trying to set up a K1000 appliance to manage/inventory remote computers.

We have a Kace K1000 Systems Management Appliance (ver. 8.1.109) on our network for years. I have all of the computers in our LAN/WAN provisioned for Kace. We need to provision external laptops/desktops. I'm guessing that I need to set up a NAT on our fire wall & obtain an external ip address. Can you provide me with detailed information on how to set this up? Thanks.

I would suggest that you first upgrade to the latest version, to do that you will need to have valid support credentials from Quest, the latest version if 10.1 - Hobbsy 3 years ago
I was able to do this by installing a certificate on the Kace device & setting a NAT on the firewall.
