It also depends for the installer if you are using an msi or exe.  Here is a screen shot of my managed install for flash.

You can apply updates for Flash through application patching or through managed installs/kace scripts.

You can install new instances of Flash through managed installs/kace scripts.  If you include the installers in your patch subscription, it is possible to deploy that way as well, but I'm not a big fan of it.

Create a new managed install with the offline installer of flash and use the -install command to do a silent install.  The patching module can handle the updates for machines that already have flash.
