How can I search for a specific network device instead of IP Range

Hi,

I created a smart label to search devices with an IP range of say 192.168.5.x --I'm deploying Windows 10 software upgrade to devices that are at this IP range via Managed Installation

But what I have found is that I have some devices in my environment that'll check in with the network interface at Hyper-V Virtual Adapter instead of the intel ethernet connection where the actual IP address range  is what I'm trying to target

The smart label is doing it's job as I have a list of devices at 192.168.5.x but now i'm missing devices as the Hyper-V Adapter is being seen first by KACE at check in.  (I only found this out after my deployment I walked the floor and discovered machines that haven't been upgraded)

I don't know if there's a way to make the Hyper-V adapter secondary or last in the network interface list but it's showing up in devices that have it enabled or If I have new search criteria.

Thanks

If you have a standardized naming system you could search for names e.g. first two letters are for the location then the two for the device type then a number NEFA001.

Then you could build a smartlabel where everybody starts with NEFA. If it is a specific group you could also use LDAP labels that are correctly grouped in AD.

Because of the problem with the wrong IP, it prints under the field IP Address the Main IP address that the cace communicates with, if it is wrong something is wrong with your network. If you don't want to change the problem I recommend to create a CIR and store it under the Devices, where specifically the Ethernet Ip or the internet ethernet connection is searched for, you can query this with a Smartlabel or fill it directly from the CIR.
