How can we require a comment by the ticket owner before they can close a ticket?

Howdy all,

I noticed the other day that someone was able to close a ticket without having to leave a comment about why the ticket was closed?  Is there a way we can require a comment by the ticket owner before a ticket can be closed?

You need to mark the Resolution field as “required before close”. Do that in the Queue configuration page, in the fields layout section find the Resolution field and then edit. In the Required column select “Required before close” and save the line then apply the changes to the queue.
