How do I transfer a K1000 license from one VM (v7.X) to another VM of a newer version of the K1000 (v9)?

The information is actually in the K2000 appliance, not the K1000 appliance. If you login to the K2000 appliance, go to Settings, Control Panel, Registration and Licensing, you can obtain the License Key from there. You can then login to the new K1000 and paste the License Key into the appropriate field.

The SDA and the SMA (formerly known as K1 and K2) do not share licenses...
So be aware of that,

But you might need to contact support, because licenses are tied to the MAC Address, that new VM will have a new MAC address, just ask support to delete the old one once the migration is done. - Channeler 5 years ago
