How do you filter out Workstation OS from Server OS for Security Patching?

I am just getting started into doing patching with the K1 server. I have found everything that I need but save one thing. I want to handle Windows Workstation OSs separate from Windows Server OSs.
Now in the inventory and under devices this is simple but I do not have that kind of filter here.

I feel like I am missing something simple. Am I just thinking about this all backwards?

You will need to create a Device based Smart Label... and for Operatying System name, only group the ones with the word "Server".

  • I have this label already created. Now how do I use that to filter out what computers that are patched? - DLCurtis 6 years ago
    • I would suggest you to go here:

      https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/6.4/videos

Look for a video named "the power of labels"

Then watch a video named "Patching Week Basics"

It could be nice to watch "Patching Troubleshooting" as well.

The K1 SMA Administrator´s Guide also has a good step by step:
