How do you retain profile based information (program settings, product keys, etc...) when running sysprep prior to image capture?

When we sysprep our machines Windows 7 blows away a bunch of settings. We then reboot once sysprep has ran and capture our image. Then we have to go back and enter several product keys and settings that were working prior to running sysprep. Any suggestions????

What sysprep options are you using?
Are you using an unattend install with the copy profile option?

Ie, here we use the copy profile option on an unattend install of W7 Enterprise, with sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown. We have never had any problems with losing serial numbers or anything.

Any more information you can offer about your setup would be good.
