Personal thought: Dont do it (inventory mouse and keyboards), they have no value thus no reason to inventory (not worth time and effort to track) - you'll be inventorying computer power cables next.

Are you looking for a way to do this other than manually? If you have a .csv with all of the assets, you can upload it into KACE under "Import Assets".
