How to install Open Manage with SDA

Howdy all,

I want to be able to install Dell Open Manage as a post install SDA Action.  The problem is I cant find the version the SMA is using (3.7.8.2) anywhere.  Any suggestions?

  • Do know where I can download an MSI, or EXE for this tool?
    With that you can Script-it to auto install it via any automation tool... say a PowerShell Script will do it. - Channeler 1 year ago

you can also use a newer version. Or just create it in the SMA and go into it and export the attachment and use this then.

I would love to be able to create it in the SMA but where do I find the program?

  • go to Scipting |Configuration Policies | Dell Command | Monitor
    there you can create the install script. Then go into the script and download the .zip and check what the script does. This is the command line for the SDA. - Nico_K 1 year ago
    • as I wrote: you need to create a Config Policy which contains this file (it is attached automaticly from the KACE itself, a user has no access to the share itself)
      Then you can download it from the script.
      Or you download the latest version from Dell (which is likely newer but this is not a problem) - Nico_K 1 year ago
