How to manage software license for each company
Hello Everyone,
Please advise me for how to manage software license for each company. for example we have 3 companys in this group manage by K1000. After I import data of software license for each company already and then I create label for combine software (Because some machine use same software but difference version) and then I create software asset so the K1000 is show me all of Total license that we have and how many install but it's not show me for each company.

If adirathore's suggestion with the domains isn't feasible, another idea would be to use a label (manual, smart or LDAP, depending on the situation - smart labels would be the fastest to setup) to tag the machines as belonging to each respective company, then reference the necessary label in your report.

I already create label for software license by company but when I see the data K1000 with show all. Example I create Asset Type : License (Seperate by company) and create Asset Type : Software (Use Smart Lable) The K1000 it show all data come from K1000 Agent but it combine License that we have to 1 companys so I more complicate to know how many we have license spare? - manpang 11 years ago -
I think I understand better after stepping through the screens you listed. If you want absolute separation between the three companies, it would probably be worth looking into creating a separate ORG (database) for each company. This way the licensing (and everything else) wouldn't all bleed together. Here's KACE's feature listing on separate ORGs:

Are the workstations in these companies present in different domains? This way you can sort the reports based on domain names and get their individual reports.
