How to receive a email notification from K1000 when a server reboots and when a patch is updated to server?
Hi,
I am new to the KBox system. My primary focus so far is patching the Server OS. Is there a way to have the kbox send an email to a designated address when the kbox initiates a reboot following a patch update? The address in each case is different, so is there a way to configure an email recipient for each system in KACE?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

This functionality isn't built in, but this is what I did.
Deploy startup and shutdown scripts to your servers ( I did this through group policy, but this wouldn't be as straightforward since you need different email addresses). Have the shutdown script send an email (I use variables so I can tell which PC sent it) when the server is shutting down. Then, when the server comes up, have it send an email that says it's online. It's not really a lot of emails and I don't sync them with my phone. It's really just for me to have a record and to be able to answer questions like "Why I can't connect to VPN?" if it's after hours and I'm not near a pc. I deployed it initially so I could be alerted if something goes down during business hours or if I reboot a server and don't want to stare at a ping window.
I use this method, and in addition I use a morning health check script. When I wake up for work in the morning, I check my email and see if any servers failed the healthcheck.
