How to Use Advanced Search in the SMA to find What is Listed under "Installed Software"?

Probably very basic, but I can't seem to find any howtos or tutorials or a workable solution:

K1000/SMA

Inventory/Device/some PC/Device Detail

Software/Installed Programs

One of the items listed is: Respondus LockDown Browser - Lab Edition (2.00.000)

I want to find all PCs that have this software; not version "2.01.000", and not "Corporate Edition", and not "RSVP Lockdown Browser", but the exact match for this string above.

I've never understood the difference between "Software Name" and "Software Title", and I've learned that you can't just search for machines that have a software [name? title?] and a specific version number, as these two tests are treated as separate tests rather than nesting the version test under the name/title test.

A specific answer to my issue would be great, but a generalized tutorial in how to best do searches would be better (if it's comprehensive enough). Anyone have any pointers?

Thanks!

/Kent

If you click on the software title to view the software inventory page it will list the computers that have it installed at the bottom of the page.

To create a report of those machines you can use the wizard. The report topic would be Software with a sub-topic of device. On the report filters page, use Software ID to match just that specific title. In your example that's 169861 (it's at the end of the URL you posted).
