Images from Mac Mail not attached

When users submit tickets via email from Mac Mail or Thunderbird with picture attachments, they pictures are not attached ot the call as is the case with Outlook users. What is attached is a file called smime.p7s

Smime is an encryption method that provides a layer of security between mail sender and recipient. In a nutshell the message is encrypted by sender and then decrypted by receiver. If the client doesn't recognize the format the result is an attachment called smime.p7s. 

Because the encryption key is as an attachment my guess is the image is included in it.
