Installing a Activex .Cab file

Hey can someone tell me if they have had any luck installing an Active X .cab file.  its a standard cab file but the problem is when I extract them and do a regsvr32 against each one of the, the Activex script still wants to install them.
hope that makes sense, if not i can try to explain.
Specifically its  a file called IRCVIEWER.CAB and WXSCAN.CAB
Thanks

Hi,
if you look in the cab file, there should be an *.inf file. Using the name of the inf file and try the following command line...

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSectionEx .\NameOfFile.inf,,C:\path\to\NameOfCab.cab,4

Cheers
Phil
