Inventory - Clean as a whistle
New Asset Manager started and would like to have the inventoried software tables cleaned (blank) and then start with all new recent inventory. Is this an easy thing to accomplish on a KACE SMA Database without losing any Hardware data. I know we can archive old hardware but we just want to start with a fresh Software inventory database.

there is no easy way, but you can go to Inventory|Software and delete all entries. If you don't have installer attached and/or Custom Inventory Rules you need not to care about anything. If you have installers and/or CIR, these need o be spared out.
With the next check in the used software items will be reinventoried.
But if you ask me I would not do this and just report items which have 1+ systems linked.
The other way would be: start new (setup a new appliance, and let the agents report into the new one) where the devices bring all of their hardware and software info into.
