Is deploying Kace agent via gpo also a method to update the agents to a new version??

I am a little confused.

If we are deploying the kace agent via gpo ,  Does this mean

that the agents will be updated to the new version when i update

the gpo with the latest agent?

Or is the gpo deployment only for machines without an agent at all?

Therefore all updates must be done through the SMA updater.

GPO was designed for provisioning (first time) purposes only. - Channeler 4 years ago

You can use a GPO to initially install an Agent and once all have been installed you may want to disable the GPO to prevent conflicts with future Auto Updates.

Once an Agent is installed, the recommended method is to update the Agents using the SMA "Auto Updates".

If there should be a SMA (server) upgrade, that should be done first before updating Agents for that version.

Hope this helps.
