Is it possible to see the history of Custom Inventory first being seen on device?
Is it possible to view and report on when a Custom Inventory Rule was first populated for a device?
With software items, I can query the ASSET_HISTORY to show installation of a piece of software over time by looking at when it was first detected. Custom Inventory Rules create an entry in the Device Inventory > Software > Installed Programs table but does not appear to have any history associated with it. If it does not, any suggestions on how to log this?

This is a great question. You can find when it was last modified in the MACHINE_CUSTOM_INVENTORY table but nothing historical; it's overwritten each time the rule runs :(. I have looked through the tables and nothing is standing out... I wonder if this is a design oversight? Feature request? Maybe a ticket to support just to confirm the field is not being missed in an obscure location. I can certainly confirm your findings though; no custom inventory records in the asset history table.
