Is there a way to get a printable listing of all programs installed on one individual computer?

I want to be able print out a list of all programs installed on one particular computer.
This list would be used for reinstalling applications when rebuilding a users computer.

Use the reporting module in the k1000.

Go to reporting........

Create new report...... Name it.....

Choose a category from the list that matches your needs....(Anyone will do)....

Or create a new category.....(This can be named anything).

Under "Topic" choose "Device"....

Next.......

Expand the device field and choose ....."System name"

Expand the software field and choose "Software titles"

Next.....

In the "Column order" field, arrange "system name" first.... then "software titles" comes second...

Next....

In the sorts and breaks page.....

First field.....order by "System name"..."Ascending".....

Second field  .....order by "Software titles"..."Ascending".....

Next...

In the filters page......

Edit the filter and choose "System name" = "Your device name"........

"Your device name" is the name of the machine you want the list

of software's on.

If you need the same info for multiple machines.........

then just keep adding more tabs in the filters page and

adding in more device names.

Finish and save the report.

Then go into the reporting module and search for your report

title. There are several options on the page of how to run the reports.

You can choose between CSV, XLS, HTML or PDF.

Comments:
  • if you want to run this report on more machines create a static label, assign it to the machines you want included in your report and set the filter in the report to labelname = your_label

this way you just manage the label, no filter edit and so on.

machines with assigned labels are easier to track instead editing report and see what machines are filtered - n1md4 6 years ago
