iTunes does not detect iPhones in Recovery Mode

Hi,

I am packaging 11.2.2.3 for Win7 32bit. I extracted some MSIs from the source EXE and selected "Apple Application Support", "AppleMobileDeviceSupport" and "iTunes" MSIs for packaging. My client requires iTunes for wiping off data from iPhone's Recovery Mode, i.e. Put the iphones on Recovery Mode, then connect with a computer, iTunes should detect the phone then show something like "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."

However, my packaged iTunes does not do it. After an iPhone is plugged in, the "Applie Modible Device USB Driver" in Device Manager shows up. The " Apple Mobile Device Service" is running. But the iPhone does not show up in iTunes. I am thinking maybe the vendor's EXE file installs something that is not contained in the MSIs?

Has anyone else come accoss the issue? Thanks in advance.

The first step is to install this software manually and then see if the same problem arises. It is pointless trying to track an issue in your package until you are sure it's not a hardware issue.  Do the USB drivers get installed correctly?  Check the device manager in control panel and also check the application event log.
