K1000 Device Inventory not showing External IP

Not sure when this happened, but I am non 10.0.290 and I am noticing that on the Device Inventory screen the External IP address is not showing for computers when they are off the LAN.  I am seeing the IP addresses of the computers behind their home gateways or whatever network they are on.

In 9 and prior versions, if the computer was off site it would report back in the External IP of the site where they were at.  Having that information is very useful because it helps me locate any equipment that any former employee might walk off with.  Knowing their internal 10.x.x.x or 192.168.x.x IP does not help much

  • I am having a similar issue with the MAC address.
In some cases, KACE is reporting the Bluetooth or wireless address instead of the ETHERNET Mac address..
    any ideas?

there was a feature in 10.0 which caused this. I am not 100% sure if there is a hotfix avaiable but 10.1 fixes it definitely.
