Has anyone successfully gotten SSO to work in AD with the kbox computer and user objects located outside of the default Computers container? It's been awhile since my last failed attempt, so I'm ready to try again. I have to request special temporary rights to add user objects to the default Computers container, so I'd like to know that someone else has gotten it to work before I make that request.

Thanks.

  • I have tried but as our local domain is a .local and we use a web assemble URL to access KACE I was never able to get it to work. We have KACE setup to use AD for authentication so at least it is not a different password and it updates when you change passwords. - smalls 9 years ago

Yes we did and it took a bit of tinkering with the help of the support personnel to get it working.

  • Is there a knowledge base article you would recommend, or does it require a call to support? - MattoonIT 9 years ago
  • Thanks, Pete. Can you provide any details? Do you mean support personnel from Dell or your own org? Did the fix involve a group policy or a tweak of the k1000?

Thanks. - tpr 9 years ago
  • I tried calling in and we were not able to make it work as our local domain is a .local and we use a true web URL to access KACE. - smalls 9 years ago
  • Pete, any possibility of details? Dell support does not seem to understand the problem. - tpr 9 years ago
