K2000 Media Manager

The x64 boot environments I upload seem to fail when trying to load the uploaded source media. When I upload Windows 7 source media it says it completed, but I also get a seperate message that it is "Unable to clean up build directory: System. UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "BCD" is denied." Subsequently, I get the following when applying the scripted installs "Memdisk: Image seems to have fractional end cylinder. Memdisk: Image appears to be truncated." Lastly it says: "Loading boot sector... booting... Press any key to boot from CD or DVD.. If I hit any key, it begins the image process.

I have the same issue after upgrading to 3.6.  I was not adding media but I was getting the error when I was created a kbe environment. I receive the error on both the 32 bit and the 64 bit.

  • As it turns out, it was something with Windows 7 Pro on my workstation. Using a virtual environment proved it and subsequently I got a new computer. Everything works fine now. The good people at Kace figured this out for me. - MNBobster 9 years ago

The winpe.wim file you are calling to create boot env is located under windows aik subdirectory in appropriate bit version sub dirs.  If your machine and the image you are trying to upload is win 7 with sp1 make sure you have installed the patch for waik sp1 prior to creating the boot env.  Also make sure you have the newest media manager by downloading it from the 3.6 kbox and reinstalling.  Also go to your temp files and cleanout all files possible, if you had a failed upload there could still be traces of the build for the old upload in your temp files.

Have you tried uploading from different media?  Sounds like maybe a corrupted ISO.
