Kace: Locations field in Asset Management

Hello,

question about how to manage the Location attribute in the asset properties. The company recently asked me to apply some changes to the location strings (i.e. "NewYork" changed in "New York") but only for the active users; but Kace is retrieving the location also for old and disabled users (I need them to populate the field "previous owner" in the asset) therefore now in the location attribute I have both "NewYork" and "New York" and also kind of duplicates for the other changes they asked me to apply. When they came up, I tried to manually delete them from asset management > locations but they have been recreated during the following LDAP sync cycle. Is there a way to get rid of those duplicates and somehow manage the locations only in a manual way? (since they do not change really frequently and there are only a few, no sync needed on this field with LDAP)
Thanks

If your location fields are updated as part of your LDAP import, then you need to update the data in you AD so that it is correct. That way when you Import the location data will be as you want it to be. Otherwise, all you can do is create a ticket rule that sanitises your imported data, i.e. replaces NewYork with New York, but that will need to be run regularly.
