Kace SMA Patching of TeamViewer

We have TeamViewer HOST v15 installed on 10,000 devices - I want to use Kace to patch it and keep it patched; but when I do it always upgrades it to the TeamViewer FULL version and removes HOST - any ideas why this will be? (Forgive me if it's a silly question as new to using Kace for Patching 3rd party apps).

Thanks

Simon

Are you sure that you are deploying an update patch? It sounds as if you are deploying a full version software installer patch?

So having added Teamviewer to my own patch subscription I can see that the patches that are available are split into two types

1. Teamviewer 15.x x86 or x64

2. Teamviewer Host 15.x

If you have the Full Software Option ticked in the Classification section you may also see the full version of the software, so if you deploy this patch a full version appears.

My advice is make sure that you are deploying the correct patch type 1,2 or 3 by creating a label that splits them into their separate types, that way you can make sure that you are not deploying a Full Software patch by mistake, which may be causing the issue.

If you are still having trouble then you will probably need to escalate this to Teamviewer as KACE has no influence of the functionality of the patch that is released to them.

I hope that makes sense, if not and you need more help, just reach out and we can set up a call #WeAre Quest
