KACE User Portal - User Downloads - Enable script to run on specific device always

Hello

So I'm trying to enable certain scripts to be used via the user portal for some of my service desk staff
however, I want to run the scripts against specific devices always but they aren't showing in the drop-down menu because a device can be assigned to multiple people at the same time

I guess I'm asking is there a way to just allow them to run the script as it is in scripts?
or how to assign a device to multiple people or bind it to the user role

hopefully, I'm making sense

  • I'm looking to do the same thing. Did anyone ever get this figured out? Only the user assigned to the device can run the script. I want multiple users to be able to run this script against the same device, but I don't see a way to assign multiple users to the device to allow this. - treat 4 years ago

KACE SMA has an option under User Downloads page to restrict the Script to "Device Labels". You may use that option to limit the usage of this script to certain devices only.

  • Thank Abhay, for some reason that's not working for me as all it does it not allow me to see the script anymore. I'm sure i'm doing something silly and just not seeing it - Locodewey 5 years ago
    • Are you restricting by user labels as well? Are you sure the account you're using has appropriate access to the User Portal? - JasonEgg 5 years ago
