KACE1000 Scripting Run Now Status Auto Delete

I'm on K1000 v5.5.90545 and my Run Now Satus tab is auto clearing the list of previously ran scripts after just a few hours.

Is there a new feature burried somewhere? Has anyone else had this?

I've contacted all my staff who use KACE and they claim they are not deleting the items.

  • I've run into the same problem. So far I've had several tickets open with KACE support, and am about to open another one.

The issue seems to be that the log files are rolling over at the 1024 MB mark.... These log files rolling over causes a deletion of the Run Now Status logs also. The issue I'm running into is that it gets so bad sometimes it deletes the run now, before it even completes the run.

So in all, this seems to be an issue with the way the K1000 is keeping it's logs. - Finire 10 years ago

I don't believe there is. You can check under Settings > History and Object History Listing (if you are tracking scripts) and see who is deleting, if anyone. As far as the system, unless there is a bug there is no automation in deleting anything from Run Now Status. If you aren't tracking, I would turn that on so you can see if its someone doing it.

Typically we would make that tab "read only" so only a select few can delete anything that is run, thus reducing who to go back to for accountability.

Comments:
  • We have the defaults set- where scripts are tracked forever.

I deleted one of the "run now status" item to see if it would show up in the history and it does not.

Support opened a bug ticket for me. - afincher 10 years ago
