Launch AutoDesk 2013

Is there a way to launch acad.exe without access to the licence server ? Just need to test the app before we deploy ?

You can install the Trial version when selecting Stand Alone and have 30 days to test it - instructions with screenshots: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=17956002&linkID=9240617

  • I have created a server install, and just need to check all the options I have selected, are in the package, but I don't have access to the licence server from offsite. - gxm34328 10 years ago

If your creating a package that will get rolled out to the users that access the License Server, then dont you already have that information as part of your package? if so then accessing the License Server should work, unless all of the primary users are still connected, if so then test package after hours after one of them has logged off.

Aside from that, most of the normally options you would set, will either be in the MST or in the INI file used to install it.

What we did to test is put it on a VM and let one of the CAD guys login and test all of the functionallity, then you get a list a mile long with all of the tweeks they want to add to customize their install.

  • The only problem is the packagers are in Asia & I'm in the UK. I just what to launch the app to verify the correct options have been selected in the packaging process. - gxm34328 10 years ago
