Let's find a way to communicate INSTANTLY

Greetings all!

While this message board is a super-fantastic way to ask and get answers to packaging questions, sometimes it would be nice to be able to ask a question right away.

Are any of you using IM Chat clients at work?

I use Trillian, so I can see my contacts from jobs and clients I've had from years before... BUT few of them are repackaging experts.
So 2 things:

1) Webmaster... will you please consider enabling some kind of chat capability for this website? If you can, please have that feature use standard ports, because many company firewalls BLOCK IRC ports and non-standard ports.

2) If any of you would like to add me as a buddy, I would feel honored to do the same - it would be NICE to be able to have people to go to with questions.

Me:

Sean Roberts
AOL-IM: MediaDo
MSN: sean_c_roberts@hotmail.com
Yahoo: sean_c_roberts
ICQ: 246333362

Thanks in advance, and happy packaging!

- Sean Roberts

I doubt if the company I'm contracting for will open the firewall just for me :)

A great suggestion. I'm looking into options for AppDeploy to provide chat functionality now. I know people are not generally very responsive to polls, but I am going to create one to get an idea for how many people think they would make use of it. I don't mind paying for a nice solution if there is enough demand. Let's see!
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
