Linux Desktops?

Does anybody use Linux as your standard OS for workstations? Which distro? Have you found any serious pitfalls? Did you do a Windows -> Migration?

I use Ubuntu 12.04 with Likewise Open to handle windows domain permissions. Then I use virtualbox with a virtual windows 7 in seamless mode with MS Office and the Windows Server Admin Tools. The network guy uses Kubuntu and remote desktop so he can use the Admin Tools from a remote server.

We're going to try a few Ubuntu machines in the lobby for registration with only firefox available to the user pointed at a our portal page. And if Linux worked 100% with RemoteApp(C) we could probably convert our users over since everything is run through a remote session anyways.

I think the majority of people that visit this site would have things like student labs running Linux or specialized purposes for Linux versus standard deployment.

Distro kind of depends on what you are going to use it for.  For ease of setup and use, I'd recommend either Ubuntu or Mint.
