Mac System Name in SMA is not the Host Name

We added some new Mac's to our environment and have noticed that the System Name in the SMA is not showing the Host Name of the Mac.

When we setup a new Mac, we first create a local admin account (Administrator) before joining the domain or adding the domain user account.

In Kace, the 2 new Macs are both showing a System Name of "Administrator's MacBook Pro".

We named them something completely different when we joined the domain and we made the "Share" host name the same.

They are a MacBookPro18,3 with macOS 13.2 and a MacBookPro18,2 with macOS 13.2.1. We're using SMA version 13.0.42.

I've tried running sudo scutil --set HostName on one but that didn't change the Kace System Name for the device.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

We resolved this on our own.

Go to System Settings > General > About and change the name there. That's where Kace is getting the System Name.

So crazy that we need to name a Mac in 3 different locations.
