KACE is not running inventory on macOS

Hi all,

Since updating the KACE agent on our Mac fleet using the "Update Agents" function under Settings>Provisioning to Version 11, almost all of our Macs are connected to the system but KACE no longer inventories them, and it still shows that the old agent is installed. I rebooted them but no luck.
Happening on devices running Mojave and Catalina.

Any idea? Thanks in advacne

The Issue was caused by an Agent Alert logo I just removed it and everything seems to be working fine now.

The Mac Agent needs to successfully run and upload the Inventory before the new version will be reported.

Both of these log files may contain information as to why the Agent is failing.  You may want to review them for error messages and report the errors here.

/Library/Application Support/Quest/KACE/data/user/KAgent.log    /Library/Application Support/Quest/KACE/data/konea.log

Please post the version information for the SMA, Mac Kace Agent, MacOS.

There is also the KAT (Kace Agent Toolkit) that can be used to collect logs.

  • Thank you so much for your input. Sadly I couldn't figure out the issue neither did KACE Support.
I'll update the thread once I've found a solution in case someone else is having the same problem. - Gwin 2 years ago
