Metro Apps - Application Repackaging for Windows 8

HI Folks,

Has anybody tried to repackage metro apps which come in the format of .appx ? My question is with respect to Best practices followed in the corporate environment like Disabling updates/pop-ups etc. ALso if any configuration needs to be done as per the client's requirement , how can we achieve it. Do we have to edit the xml files itself or is there a way to convert to msi & then work on it ? As an example , say we get a vendor msi we create a transform right, the same way how do we do the customizations for metro apps ?

There are some powershell commands you can use to tweak the metro/start interface but application deployment seems very limited. Unless you are sideloading your own internally developed applications you have very little control. If the application you wish to deploy is from the Windows Store admin controls are all but non-existent. I hope someone else can reply with better news
