Monitoring licence for KACE k1000

I have enabled software monitoring for certain apps on my K1000 6.4.120261. As far as I have understood I have to Select which client machines I want to enable monitoring of these applications. When I do that I get an error that there are not sufficient monitoring licences. How do I check hoe many licences I have for this?

You may be confusing server monitoring and application monitoring. In label management edit a label that is applied to the machine you want to enable application monitoring. In the Restrict Label Usage To section check the box for Meter Software Usage.

  • It seems like I have. Thanks for clearing things up.

When it says "To meter software, apply a metering enabled label to at least one Device in the Device list" and "To allpw Application Control, apply an Application Control enabled label to at least one Device in the Device list" all I have to do is to Select one or more Devices, select "Apply labels" in the drop Down menu and drag and drop whichever label I want to "connect " to the device(s) I Select? - MesaMe 8 years ago
    • Yes. That is how you would manually apply labels to computers. - chucksteel 8 years ago
