MSI Fails when destination drive does not exist

We have an application that we want to install by default on the D:\ drive in a folder D:\APPNAME\

If we hardcode this folder in the msi, everything works well when the D drive exists. If however, the drive does not exist, the msi fails (messsage that you need to select another drive, but there is no possibility to select another drive).

Is there somebody who has a solution to this problem ?

Regards

If you are using Wise, go to their knowledge base at http://www.wise.com/KBSearch.aspx
and do a search on Custom Action. This will walk you through the steps of checking for a d:\ drive before you install.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
