Need help loading software into MI kace

Hi, I am new to app deploy with KACE. I am trying to load software into KACE. I tested the install via command line and with command line switches and it installs fine. When I follow the steps to add the software to KACE and then push it out, I get a general windows installer error. Am I missing something simple?

I followed these steps: 1. Found the application on an already deployed machine. 2. Associated the .exe file with the software found on that machine. 3. Created the MI package. Here are some screen shots from my config. Can anyone tell if I left something out?

The error I get is "Windows cannot find the installation package. Verify you have the right installer."

the default install needs a MSI file.
So you need to click to Override default installation and enter the full command ( A+ ...exe /S /v /qn) or get the MSI since the command parameter look like there is a MSI inside the exe.

Comments:
  • I chose "override default installation" and this is the command I have set:
    "A+ for Win v1.7.1.13.exe" /s /v /qn. Same error. - alainap84 3 years ago
    • And if you remove all the switches and just run the exe with the override option what is the result? - Hobbsy 3 years ago
      • It kicks off the install with a setup dialog box, but when I run through it and it gets to the point of extracting the msi it throws the windows general error. - alainap84 3 years ago
