Netbeans IDE 6.8

Hi,
Has anyone got any experience with running Suns Netbeans 6.8 in a controlled environment? I'm looking to push this out onto a Terminal Services Desktop via GPO.
I've packaged the product but now need to switch off Auto updates, displaying welcome screen etc.

Can't find any useful docs on this.

Any help as always appreciated

Jimmy

Call it 'netbeans'. Then, when the structure is complete, edit the Directory table itself, either in Wise's Direct Editor view or with Orca/InstEd.

Hi Cygan

Unfortunatley not, the application does not seem to use the registry at all.

There is a build.properties xml file that exists in the user profile so may have to mine through that.

I'm trying to get the welcome.properties file (which can switch off the welcome screen) into my package. Problem is that the parent folder in the users profile is named .netbeans and Wise will not allow me to create a folder with that name!
Any way to get round this?

Thanks

Simples! Ian many thanks for that.

Problem I have now is that the .netbeans folder is being installed to C:\Windows\.netbeans
I was expecting it to install into the root of the user profile.

Location according to Wise Installation Expert is Windows\Profiles\.netbeans

Have I missed something here?

Check out the folder structure in the Directory table. I suspect you have a "broken" branch somewhere.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
