Office 2k7 unattended
Hi folks,
I am currently trying to get an unattended installation of Office 2007 working.
I already altered the config.xml file within the Pro.WW subdirectory so that it says
<Display Level="none" CompletionNotice="no" SuppressModal="yes" AcceptEula="yes" />
But even though the display level is set to "none", I get one dialog window asking me whether to install or alter settings. After clicking on install, the rest of the setup is unattended.
However, I need to get rid of that dialog. ;-)
Any hints?

Gidday Christian,
We've found Office 2007 (Beta) to be a bit buggy at this early stage.
Outlook not talking to exchange properly etc.

So far, we didn't encounter any problems when working with Office 2007.
Outlook seems to be working for us as well.
The only problem is that I don't get the unattended to work properly... :-(

Office seems to be working laggy for me, but exchange communications are ok so far. Given that I only use it for emails and minor tests. Wayne, what issues are you having with exchange, just curious.

I have to agree with the Outlook issues. It chokes when you try to force a Send/Receive.
I don't think there's a tonne of value in practicing deploying the beta unless your company plans to push it out the day the boxes hit the shelves. The final code will change and you'll have to retest and configure anyway.

Unfortunately, we are in the middle of migrating a new application which is based on Infopath 2007 (which is included in Office Professional Plus).
So we definitely deploy parts of the Office 2007 Beta 2 to productive clients.
Now, where can I download the new Office Resource Kit? Is there anything special I've to be aware of?
