We are using AdminStudio to create a .msi file whose purpose is to copy custom Microsoft Word Templates into the C:\documents and settings\All Users\Templates folder. When we run the .msi manually it copies the files to the correct folder. Our problem starts when we use an Active Directory Group Policy to deploy the .msi. When creating the Group Policy, if we select User Configuration/Software Settings/Software Installation and add the .msi package there, the templates get copied to the templates folder of the user's profile who is currently logged on instead of our desired location of All Users\templates. The templates will install correctly via a Group Policy, if when we create the policy, we place the .msi package under Computer Configuration\Software Settings\Software Installation.

We would like for these templates to be installed based on the user so that no matter what computer they happen to be using, they will get the templates.

Does anyone know how to force files to be copied into c:\documents and settings\All Users\templates when using a User based group policy as opposed to a computer based policy? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
