SCCM2012 - Problems running MSI with TRANSFORMS

I have been beating my head against my desk for about an hour now.  I can't get this installation package to run from SCCM with the transform.  I can run it command line perfectly and the transform is applied, but when I run it from SCCM using the same command line SCCM decides it wants to be emo and not use the transform file.  No type-o's it just doesn't use it and it's got me frustrated.

Here's the command line:

msiexec /i "Outlook-Addon-1.00.0000.msi" TRANSFORMS="MyOptions.mst" /q

Application:
I've tried running this as an application and adding the

TRANSFORMS="MyOptions.mst"

I've tried running with a UNC path included for the transform location

TRANSFORMS="\\SCCM2012\Sources\Apps\Outlook-Addon\1.00.0000\MyOptions.mst"

Package from Definition:
I tried running as a package from definition.  Allow users to intereact, always run from source folder, per-system-unattended

msiexec.exe /q ALLUSERS=2 /m MSIEKAWL /i "Outlook-Addin-1.00.0000.msi" TRANSFORMS="MyOptions.mst"

 What else can I try?  Are there known issues with SCCM2012 and applying transforms?

Renamed the MSI to something simple (Outlook-Addon.msi) and it worked like it was supposed to.  Strange...

  • Ha, ran across something very similar today. You answered my question. Very odd. What did you use to create the transform? - bretthexum 11 years ago
  • I used AdminStudio 11.5 - Tuner to create the transform. - Trinity 11 years ago
