Silent Driver Installation for Mettler Toldeo software

Hi,

Name of the app - Mettler_Toledo_iCIR_4.3.35SP1

Driver - Cypress Universal Bus Controllers

Method followed - http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/use-dpinst-driver-applications, No silent switches for setup.exe,

When installing the setup.exe, prompts for the driver to install. This app generates OEMxx.inf file and a certificate file. When installing via Dpinst.exe manually, these files gets installed but when I try with silent switches it does not work [dpinst.exe /F /SA /S]

We would want the driver files to get installed silently. Also, imported the .cer file manually still it prompts for the message.

Message looks like :

Would you like to install this device software ?

Name : Cypress Universal Bus Controllers

Publisher: Mettler Toldedo

Always trust software from "Mettler Toledo".   Install   Don't Install

If you're using Wise Installer Editor (either stand-alone or part of Wise Package Studio), see this article.

Import the .CER using a separate Custom Action before the DPInst-calling Custom Action runs.

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

I have tried in Wise only but when I install the msi I get the below message in log file,

DIFXAPP: ERROR - You need to use the 64-bit version of DIFXAPP.DLL to install drivers on this machine.

Tried to download DIFXAPP.DLL x64 file but dint find right link so far.If you can suggest me with the correct link, it would be great.

Thanks

You need to download the WDK. Total overkill for such a tiny requirement but you would have needed to have done the same to get Orca.

EDIT:
Errrrrr....you would've had to d/l the WDK to get the 32-bit merge module so why do you not have the 64-bit one, too? Confused...
